EXCLUSIVE: Australian retailer Carpet Court has called off its creative pitch after hearing pitch presentations from agencies.
The brand said it will not be appointing an agency of roster due to a lack of “internal strategic direction”.
The company called a review at the beginning of the year, shortlisting incumbent Spinach, as well as CHE, The Campaign Palace and Smart.
The Campaign Palace and Smart were dropped from the pitch list midway through the pitch process.
Carpet Court national marketing and advertising manager Natasha Gallardo told AdNews: “There is more work for us to do, in terms of the internal strategic direction of the company, before we can start thinking about appointing a creative agency of roster. The pitch process helped us to realise this.”
Carpet Court had stated its intention to jettison its creative positioning, which is based on a court jester.
Incumbent agency Spinach is the retailer’s retained agency until the end of the financial year. Carpet Court said it may use Spinach on a project basis after this point.
