Carat CMO Andrea Rule will join LinkedIn as head of enterprise sales for marketing solutions business in Australia and New Zealand.

Based in Sydney, Rule will report to LinkedIn director for marketing solutions Prue Cox, who joined from PacMags in 2017.

She starts on 1 April and is one of many to exit the Dentsu Aegis Network-owned agency, which has been through a number of shake-ups over the past year.

CEO Paul Brooks departed the business last September and this month resurfaced at Nine, and national marketing manager Tess Murphy also departed. Murphy is now contract working at Nova Entertainment.

Rule had been with Carat since 2017 and oversaw its brand positioning, trade marketing and contributed to new business development nationally. She has also worked across publisher and client-side over the course of her career.

Prior to joining Carat, she spent five years at Yahoo7, including in the role of head of brand.

“I’m delighted to have the opportunity to lead the enterprise sales team at LinkedIn,” Rule says.

“As a B2B marketer, LinkedIn is the most exciting place to be. I am looking forward to working with a talented team and leading the way in this space for clients.”

Cox says Rule’s 13+ years of experience in digital sales and marketing perfectly complements its mission to be customer focused.
