Couch-ella, Carat’s inaugural virtual one-day festival last year, is returning.

The festival celebrates Carat’s people and partners in each state, through inspiring and entertaining content.

It came about as a way to reward and bring positive energy to staff at home during lockdown, and is now an annual agency event.

The event, on Wednesday, May 19, will now have a new ‘real-life" element to celebrate what has been a particularly tough year.

The day will be filled with segments covering a range of themes including comedy, cooking, fashion, life hacks, sports and trivia – with a number of special guests.

In conjunction with Carat, MKTG, dentsu’s brand experience, sport and entertainment agency, has returned again.

A group of more than 2,000+ including clients, media partners, Carat and dentsu staff and journalists, will have the opportunity to navigate through a range of topics.

“We launched Couch-ella as a way to reward our staff and clients during a very tough time in lockdown in 2020 when we all felt disconnected and looking for positive inspiration whilst stuck inside our homes," Carat ANZ CEO Sue Squillace says.

"The feedback from last year’s event was amazing and we are thrilled to have the festival return again this year. The support from our clients and media partners has been extraordinary and we can’t thank them enough for jumping on board and once again uniting the industry.”

There are 15 presenting partners already confirmed, and Carat will be announcing the complete line-up next week.
