Cannes Lions names 2016 Australian jurors

A raft of local Australian talent will be making their way to the French Riviera this June as part of the juror panels of the Cannes Lions.

Among those joining the panels includes The Monkeys CCO and owner Justin Drape on the film jury, UM chief strategy officer Sophie Price on the Media panel and Clemenger BBDO Sydney head of creative technology Brendan 'Bob' Forster on the mobile panel.

Other creatives include Rumble Creative & Media creative partner Nancy Hartley on the outdoor panel, Clemenger BBDO Brisbane creative director Marianne Harvey on the radio panel and Leo Burnett creative group head Iggy Rodriguez on the promo panel.

The cyber, direct, design and PR panels will feature Host ECD Bob Mackintosh, Innocean ECD Dave King, Vert's Andrew Simpson and Fuel Communications MD Amanda Galmes respectively.

Digital craft will feature Carter Digital’s James Noble on the panel while Exit Films' Karen Sproul will feature on Film craft.

Sharb Farjami, chief commerical officer. Network sales at News Corp Australia - the official representative of the Cannes Lions in Australia - says that “having Australians represented across so many categories confirms the creative talent we have in this country is world leading”.

The Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity is held from 18-25 June.
