Google's Jenney Kim and Keira Spencer won the Advertising Council Australia (ACA) 2025 Young Lions competition in the marketing category with Google Australia's with ‘Fridge First Bonus.'

As we settle back into Sydney after the whirlwind that was Cannes, we, Jenney Kim and Keira Spencer from Google, wanted to share a few reflections.

This past week wasn’t just about the competition; it was a profound immersion into the beating heart of global creativity, with inspiration that we’ll carry with us throughout our entire career.

We were brought together unexpectedly with a shared love for big ideas - leading us to victory at the Australian Young Lions competition.

That partnership led us all the way to Cannes, where we had the immense honour of representing Australia on the global stage.

We are incredibly proud to say we brought home a Silver Lion in the Young Lions Marketers competition.

Our challenge, set by the Braille Institute, was to reframe their image and encourage people with low vision to seek help before it was too late.

Our response, “Signal For Sight,” was a Google x Braille Institute initiative where we leveraged the Google platform to drive awareness through detecting signs of low vision through users’ digital behaviours.

Our individual win was just one part of a truly inspiring week for Team Australia, this year being our best collective results in years for the competition - a testament to the incredible talent and brains we had with us!

A bond so strong that we had to create our own pop up agency for the week that was, celebrating the work that came out of time crunches and sleepless nights.

For the creative hearts under thirty looking for their next adventure, we think you’ve found it. The Young Lions competition is like no other, and if we could do it all again - we’d do it again in a heartbeat.
