Canadian Club, the whisky mixed drink that pitches itself as the antidote for drinkers bored of beer, is opening its first pop-up bar today.

The brand has joined forces with Parramatta's Restaurant 317 to open the pop up in the outdoor laneway serving Canadian Club and Dry on tap and cocktails. It will be open evenings and weekends from today (5 January) until 28 February, offering seafood straight from the restaurant’s oyster bar.

Canadian Club is also sponsoring the Australian Open, which starts on 19 January and games throughout the event will be broadcast at the pop-up.

Live musicians will perform at the pop-up every Tuesday and there will be kid's entertainment on weekends.

Throughout 2014, Canadian Club continued its “‘Over Beer’ campaign, led by The Works.
