The Campaign Palace has appointed Leo Burnett Chicago ECD Reed Collins as national chief creative officer, following the departure of Cameron Hoelter.

Collins will be based in the The Palace's Sydney office, and will partner with executive chairman Mark Mackay, overseeing creative output at the Sydney and Melbourne offices.

The appointment fills the gap left by the departure of The Palace Sydney creative director Hoelter in October of last year.

Prior to Leo Burnett Chicago, Collins worked at Mojo & Partners Sydney, Hunt Lascaris TBWA Johannesburg, Lowe Howard-Spink London and Cliff Freeman & Partners New York. Previous clients include Qantas, BMW, Stella Artois, Smirnoff, Kellogg, Samsung and McDonalds.

Young & Rubicam chief creative officer Tony Granger said: "Reed and I worked together years back, and I am thrilled he is returning to Oz. He'll be a fantastic addition to The Palace. He brings great spirit, energy and talent."

Collins said: "As an Aussie, The Campaign Palace holds a special place in my heart. The opportunity to help reshape such an iconic shop was too great to pass up. I am extremely excited to be coming home and to be teaming with my new partners."
