Cadbury today launched in Australia a film which shows how even the smallest gesture can bring a smile to someone who needs it.

A little boy is travelling home on the bus with his mum with a bar of Cadbury Dairy Milk he’s been told to save for later.

He tries to distract himself but then notices a distressed teenage girl nearby.

The story ends with a simple, unexpected act of kindness from the boy who offers his bar to the girl.

The campaign is launching in Australia across TV, VOD, Online and Social. The 30 second ad was created by VCCP and again directed by Fréderic Planchon, who previously directed “Mum’s birthday”.

Anthony Ho, brand equity director, chocolate and biscuits, ANZ at Mondelēz International: “Cadbury Dairy Milk is something generations of Australian families have grown up with. So our new advert is for everyone, reminding them of the big meaning even the smallest acts of kindness can have.”

Darren Bailes, ECD for VCCP: “We’ve all been there - on a bus or a train and seen someone sad and upset. Most of the time we look away, minding our own business. But the generous hearted amongst us know better. This film tells that story. We are incredibly proud of this work.”
