Bronwyn Heys
The Australian Marketing Institute has appointed Kathryn Illy acting CEO after Bronwyn Heys stepped down to take a CMO role following four years leading the organisation.
Illy, who steps back from the AMI national board to take the role, has previously held leadership positions at Destination NSW, PwC, Macquarie Group and CommBank.
"Across the next period, I will be focused on ensuring the big value items for our members are on track to deliver," Illy said.
“AMI is home to the Emerging Marketers Program, leading training and education programs, Australasia's Awards for Marketing Excellence, state committee events, university accreditation and the profession's top designation, Certified Practising Marketer."
Heys said the opportunity to rebuild the AMI brand and launch the marketing competency framework had made her four years as CEO "remarkable."
She will remain involved as a fellow member.
"Bronwyn has been pivotal in making AMI more commercially disciplined and future focused," said AMI chair Kristie Atkins.
"She has reset our operating model and delivered our enhanced digital ecosystem."
