Colony Group has expanded into Melbourne and Sydney as it pushes further into strategy, creative, digital, media, social and production services.

The independent group, which has operated from Brisbane for more than a decade, has appointed Dominic Walsh and Bob Price as managing partners to run the new offices.

Walsh, who will lead Sydney, has worked in agency leadership roles at Interbrand and Landor after earlier stints at Clemenger BBDO and McCann London.

Price, heading Melbourne, has held senior creative and strategic roles at M&C Saatchi, Clemenger and Leo Burnett in Chicago and Moscow.

Matt McCarthy, Colony Group founder and executive director, said the appointments reflect the company’s growth plans.

“The launch of Colony Group in Melbourne and Sydney represents a bold step forward in our commitment to delivering exceptional brand experiences,” McCarthy said.

“Dom and Bob are visionary leaders whose expertise will drive innovation and growth for our clients across Australia.”

Walsh said the pair had been working with Colony on the direction of the brand.

“One based on the idea of building a bespoke Colony for every client through a collective of people, ideas, and technologies,” Walsh said.

Price said the model was built on flexibility.

“It’s a model based on deep partnership with our clients and adaptability to their changing needs,” he said.

Colony Group’s portfolio includes Colony, Creative Outpost and Orange Digital.
