Brendon Cook, the founder and now former CEO of oOh!media, was paid more than $3 million in the year to December 2020.

The company's annual report shows him with a $903,435 termination benefit, plus salary of $825,072 and various short and long term incentive payments.

The total of $3,004,857, according to the Statutory Remuneration Disclosure, was almost three times as much as the $1,083,354 he received in 2019.

Cook, who headed the outdoor media company for 30 years, is also shown as holding 1,835,598 shares in the company. The shares last traded at $1.712.

He has been replaced as CEO by Cathy OConnor but is continuing as a consultant.

He is being paid $200,000 to act as a consultant over the 12 months from January.

Chair Tony Faure: "We are delighted that he has agreed to remain with oOh! in a non-executive consulting role, which means the company continues to benefit from his unparalleled knowledge and industry insights.

"On behalf of the company, I want to personally thank Brendon for his enormous commitment and dedication to building and leading our business for the past 30 years."
