BMF has hired David Warren and Hugh Muro as planning directors, as it looks to strengthen its planning team.

Warren has more than 12 years of experience in planning, and was most recently that Saatchi & Saatchi leading strategy for its Toyota account. Since joining BMF Warren has helped develop strategy for BMF's recent MLA campaign and the strategic thinking which led to the winning Sportsbet project pitch.

Munro joins from a role at Tongue as head of strategy which he held for the last four years. He previously worked at The Campaign Palace and McCann and sits on the APG committee.

BMF executive planning director Christina Aventi said: “We have a policy of hiring people better than ourselves and these planning directors represent that. We want to build a Noah's ark of talent – strong generalists with particular passion that we see as innovating the craft of strategy.”

“The planning department has never been in better shape at BMF. Ever.”
