M+C Saatchi has appointed Jack Playfair to the newly created role of head of partnerships, sport & entertainment.

Playfair joins with more than ten years of experience in sport, entertainment and brand, most recently having served as group client director at Bastion.

In his three years at Bastion, he led integrated partnerships and brand collaborations with clients including Gatorade, TAB, Kia, SIXT, Crown and V Energy.

He has also held commercial roles across Supercars, TLA Worldwide and Rugby Australia, with his career spanning partnerships across some of the world's biggest sporting platforms, including AFL, NRL, UFC, cricket and Formula One.

In his new role, Playfair will lead sports and entertainment partnerships, responsible for identifying and securing brand collaborations, rights holders, and talent opportunities.

“Jack has the experience and ability to transform partnerships into genuine growth engines for clients. He’ll be instrumental in strengthening our S&E offering, but also redefining what partnership excellence looks like," said Dani Bassil, CEO of M+C Saatchi ANZ.

Working closely with M+C Saatchi's PR, social, influencer and content studio teams, Playfair will connect brands with the right partnerships.

He will work across a range of key clients spanning retail, finance, energy, and lifestyle sectors, while also unlocking new partnership-led growth opportunities for the agency.

His remit will span the full partnership lifecycle, from sponsorship strategy and negotiation through to activation and amplification.

"I specialise in identifying and structuring partnerships that deliver measurable commercial outcomes, moving brands beyond visibility to create genuine, high-value connections with the audiences that matter," said Playfair.

"My career has been built on forging partnerships that drive real business outcomes, and I'm looking forward to bringing that experience to help unlock the next phase of growth here."
