Bastion has appointed Carolyn Tesoriero group client director – head of qualitative, to run its qualitative research offering.
Tesoriero starts July 20, bringing more than 20 years' experience in consumer, cultural and market research.
She joins from innovation consultancy Radiocarbon, where she was head of research. Before that, she spent seven years as partner at Harvest Insights, where she built the agency's qualitative practice.
Tesoriero has also held senior roles at Kantar, The Lab Strategy & Planning, Galileo Kaleidoscope and Quantum Market Research.
Joanne Norton, managing director of Bastion Insights, said the appointment strengthens the agency's qualitative offering.
"Carolyn is one of Australia's most respected qualitative insights leaders, with an exceptional ability to translate deep consumer and cultural understanding into strategies that drive meaningful commercial outcomes," Norton said.
Tesoriero said Bastion's integrated model drew her to the role.
"Bastion has built a genuinely differentiated offering that brings together insights, strategy and specialist capabilities to solve complex business challenges," she said.
