Anna Cherry steps into the newly created role after the launch of Bastion Media.

Independent agency Bastion has named Anna Cherry managing director of Bastion Media Australia.

Cherry steps into the newly created role after the launch of Bastion Media, which debuted with Kellanova, the parent company of Kellogg’s, as its foundation client across Australia and New Zealand.

She will oversee strategy, client service and team development across the region.

Cherry has also held senior leadership roles across agencies and brands in the region, with a focus on combining strategic planning with media execution.

“I am joining Bastion as it is the only agency that is capable of delivering on the promise of connecting culture, media and commercial creativity in a way that makes a real impact,” Cherry said.

“Clients today need more than just great media, they need connected thinking that drives growth across every touchpoint.”

Cherry will be tasked with growing the agency’s media presence and building on recent momentum, including Bastion’s appointment to the consolidated creative and media accounts for Kellanova’s Breakfast and Wholesome Snack brands.

Bastion CEO Cheuk Chiang said the company’s goal from day one has been to create a truly integrated offering for clients.

“Anna’s appointment is a pivotal moment in that journey. She brings not only deep media expertise but also a passion for collaboration, creativity and client outcomes,” Chiang said.
