Independent agency Bastion has partnered with digital risk platform Social Protect to launch a brand safety solution for creator-led marketing, combining strategic communications with real-time content moderation technology.
The offering, automatically removing harmful content in real time, is designed to help brands manage reputational risk, support creator wellbeing and improve audience engagement across influencer campaigns.
Social Protect already works with Rugby Australia, Basketball Australia, multiple NRL teams, Football Queensland, Rowing Australia and Swimming Australia, as well as sporting organisations in the US and Europe.
Richard Chapman, managing director of Bastion Communications, said creator marketing was now central to how brands connected with audiences but the environments those campaigns operated in were often unregulated and high-risk.
"This new partnership between Bastion and Social Protect ensures brands can unlock the full value of creator-led storytelling while protecting reputation, performance and the people at the centre of it," he said.
Shane Britten, founder of Social Protect, said the technology brought a critical new layer of protection into the marketing ecosystem.
"We're seeing first-hand the impact that harmful online environments are having on athletes, creators and public figures," he said.
“Social Protect provides real-time protection removing abuse before it escalates, helping protect mental wellbeing, strengthen communities and create safer digital spaces for brands and talent.”
