D&AD has released the full list of jury members for the 2016 D&AD Judging Week, with several prominent Australian creatives among the names.

Named as jury members for this year's awards are M&C Saatchi group innovation director Ben Cooper, The Special Group creative director Dave Bowman and Semi-Permanent founder and director Murray Bell.

Also among the list of familiar faces are Clemenger BBDO Melbourne senior copywriter Hilary Badger, The Otto Empire executive producer Jo deFina, Finch executive producer Michael Hillard and Hungry Man director Richard Bullock.

Google makes an appearance on the list, with the tech company’s Australian creative director Tara McKenty named on the jury, along with The Sweet Shop managing director Wilf Sweetland and Eskimo founder and director Zoe Politt.

In October last year, D&AD unveiled the 27 jury foremen for the 2016 awards, with Vince Frost, executive creative director and CEO of Frost Collective listed, along with other big names including RGA USA chief creative officer Nick Law.

This year at D&AD, what was formerly known as “judging week” has been renamed the D&AD festival, with the aim to “bring the worlds of advertising and design together over eight days to celebrate the best in global creativity”.

“We didn’t want to call it a “festival” without delivering exactly what people would expect, an event that buzzes with creative energy,” D&AD CEO Tim Lindsay says.

“This isn’t just a chance to meet the makers of some of your favourite creative work, it’s a forum to listen to what they have to say about our industry and be inspired. None of this would be possible without the participation of our dedicated jurors, they are the ones who bring the D&AD awards to life.”
