Australians love celebrity news

Celebrity was the most popular news category in Australia in the March quarter, according to data collected by digital magazine and newspaper platform Readly.

Celebrity and entertainment magazine readership increased by 55% compared to the same three mopnths in 2021.

Lifestyle and Interior Design & Architecture magazines are the second and third most popular categories on the Readly platform. Lifestyle magazines increased by 47% and Interior Design & Architecture magazines increased by 76%.

Some of the biggest increases: 

  • Business & Finance magazines increased by 118%
  • Science magazines increased by 106% 
  • Education & Tutorial magazines increased by 90%
  • Renovation magazines increased by 89%
  • Health & Wellness categories increased by 69%
