For 2015, D&AD is introducing new categories including Branded Film Content and Entertainment which includes a new tactical sub-category and additional innovation sub-categories for packaging design, product design and radio advertising.

In addition, the success of the White Pencil - Creativity for Good award, D&AD has refined the category to distinguish between work for NGOs and brands across advertising and marketing. It was introduced a new category of Service Innovation to recognise service products that seek to build brands by “doing good.”

D&AD has extended the eligibility period for the 2015 awards to include work that ran from Jan 2014 through to 28 February 2015.

It will also release a promo film to support a call for entries to the awards, created by Brazilian graphic design and animation studio Lobo. Set to premiere in November, the film, 'Wish You Were Here?' re-images and “mashes up” highlights from the more than five decades of pencil winners.
