The Japan Foundation, Sydney, has put its marketing account for the 2025 Japanese Film Festival out to pitch.
The foundation is seeking agency support across campaign management, media, creative and public relations.
The contract covers promotion of the annual film festival, which runs run from October 27 to December 21 across Canberra, Perth, Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney.
The brief includes development of a full campaign timeline, creative production, media buying and management, social and outdoor advertising, PR strategy, media outreach and detailed campaign reporting.
The appointed agency will also manage the $94,000 media spend, limited to the paid-ticket “latest releases” program, and oversee financial processes including revenue collection and stakeholder invoicing.
Experience in marketing Australian film festivals is listed as desirable, but not essential.
Agencies must submit proposals, company profiles, staffing details and relevant experience by Friday, July 18.
The Japan Foundation has presented the Japanese Film Festival in Australia since 1997 as part of its broader mandate to promote cultural exchange and Japanese arts internationally.
