Australia Out of Home advertising half year 2019 results

Total net media revenue for Australia's Out of Home industry was up 5.2% to $447.3 million for the half year to June, according to the Outdoor Media Association.

Digital revenue accounted for 54% of total net media revenue, compared to 49% for the same period last year.

By category for the six months:

  • Roadside Billboards (over and under 25 square metres) $176.7 million
  • Roadside Other (street furniture, bus/tram externals, small format) $126.1 million
  • Transport (including airports) $82.6 million
  • Retail, Lifestyle and Other $61.8 million

The Outdoor Media Association calcualtes its represents about 80% of the industry.
