Australia and India are tying in the 2022 APAC Effie Awards with 28 finalists each in a field of 107.

New Zealand is next with 13, followed by Singapore with eight finalists and the Philippines with six.

Among agency networks, Ogilvy tops the field with 28 finalists.

In client networks, it's a three-way tie -- Grab, Mondelez and Procter & Gamble with nine finalists each.

Among the finalist campaigns is OIgilvy Sydney's ING’s Brand Relaunch, MLA's Make Lamb, Not Walls from The Monkeys and Senior Constable Laurie Fox via HERO Melbourne.

Others include: ALDI's You Can't Overcook Christmas from BMF Sydney, Suncorp's One House To Save Many via Leo Burnett Sydney and Tonight, I'll Be Eating with Uber Eats and Special.

Connecting Plots' campaign for Fantastic Furniture 'When It Feels Like Home' has been shortlisted. "We're honoured that our first ever entry has been shortlisted for an APAC Effie," says co-founder and partner Dave Jansen.

"This work for Fantastic Furniture is a demonstration of timeless creativity meeting modern connectivity. It proves when creative is rooted in a deeply felt and relatable human insight and the campaign is designed to get attention in every channel, it works."

The final round judging was led by chairwoman Nicole McMillan of Carlton & United Breweries and the eight Heads of Jury – Akira Mitsumasu of Japan Airlines, Dhiren Amin of NTUC Income, Fern Canning of Edelman, Jane Lin-Baden of Publicis Groupe, Karl Cluck of TikTok, May Ling Chan of KFC Malaysia, Siew Ting Foo of HP and Vishnu Mohan of Dept.

McMillan said: “I truly appreciate all 215 of our judges who have dedicated their time to evaluate the entries in accordance with the rigorous standards that the Effies is known for.

"This year, we were able to further increase the number of panels – with fewer entries being seen at each panel, the jury had more time to assess and discuss the merits of each case.

"Across the board, we are seeing more diversity in terms of entries received – from non-traditional markets such as Indonesia and Vietnam, as well as submissions from independent agencies and clients.

"I’m pleased that some of these entries have also made it to the finalist list, and I can’t wait to reveal the full results at the Awards Ceremony.”

The winners will be recognised at the Awards Ceremony in September.
