Austereo's Today Network has been hit by the loss of Hamish and Andy, with its drive time audience share in the metro markets taking a bit hit.

According to the latest Nielsen radio survey, which covers the period 16 January to 12 February, Austereo's Fox FM in Melbourne lost 5.4 points in the drive slot, which is more than 25% of its previous audience share.

Meanwhile, 2Day FM in Sydney lost 0.8 points in drive time, while SAFM in Adelaide dropped 0.1 points compared to the previous survey. In Perth, 92.9 lost 2.7 points compared to the previous period.

Despite the drop in drive time ratings, the Today Network remains the highest rating network in each of these markets in the drive time slot.

Hamish and Andy announced last year that they would only be broadcasting their show on Fridays, rather than every weekday. They have been replaced by radio personalities Fifi Box and Jules Lund in the Monday to Thursday drive slot.

The overall ratings winner in the Sydney market was once again Macquarie Radio Network's 2GB, with a 15.1% audience share, up 1.8 points on the last survey.

Fairfax Radio Network's 3AW took the top spot in Melbourne, down 0.4 points to a 15% audience share.

Australian Radio Network's Mix 102.3 won the ratings war in Adelaide, up 2.4 percentage points to a 15.6% audience share. The station overtook snared the top spot from the last survey's winner, DMG's 5AA, which dropped 2 points to a 12.5% share.

In Perth, Austereo's Mix 94.5 had the highest audience share at 15.2%, down 1.1 points on the prior survey.

The Brisbane market did not release survey figures due to the floods.
