Aussie agencies win big at Festival of Media Global awards

Saatchi & Saatchi's 'Penny the Pirate' work for OPSM

The Aussies continue to punch above their weight on the world stage, with M2M/OMD, MEC, and MediaCom among the winners at the Festival of Media Global.

M2M and OMD's Penny the Pirate campaign continues to win awards, and the collaboration with Saatchi&Saatchi took home a swag of awards from Rome.

It won the gold for best engagement strategy, best entertainment platform, best use of content, best launch campaign, and the coveted Grand Prix Campaign of the Year award.

OMD also took home a silver for its programmatic work with Telstra and a bronze for its launch of Aussie film Paper Planes.

GroupM agency MediaCom took home a silver and bronze, for best experiential campaign and best entertainment platform respectively.

Elsewhere, MEC won a silver for best use of technology, while Mnet took home a bronze in the same category.
