Atomic 212˚ has extended its media services contract with the Northern Territory Government, keeping the account until March 2027, AdNews can reveal.

The Department of Corporate and Digital Development confirmed the Provision of Media Services contract has been extended by 12 months to March 31, 2027, in accordance with the contract.

The account covers Tourism NT and broader government media buying, with annual billings of more than $10 million.

The extension continues a long-running relationship.

"We are delighted to receive an extension for our NT Government media contract," an Atomic 212º spokesperson told AdNews

"Atomic 212º has had an amazing 10-year association with the NT, which includes NT Tourism, NT Government and NT Major Events, and we look forward to it continuing."

Atomic 212˚ has handled Tourism NT's media since 2016 and the wider government account since 2018, retaining the business through tender processes in 2019 and again in 2023, when it was reappointed for 36 months following a competitive review.

Publicis Groupe acquired Atomic 212˚ in January 2025, bringing the agency into the French holdco's stable.

At the time of acquisition, Atomic 212˚ carried total agency billings of approximately $265 million across its full client roster.

The NT Government contract predates the acquisition, having been signed when the agency was still independent.

The agency remains responsible for media planning, buying and strategy across government and tourism activity.
