APN Outdoor has taken over the contract for internal advertising spaces at Sydney Airport's International Terminal from Adshel.

Adshel is jointly owned by APN News & Media and Clear Channel International, and will see APN Outdoor expand its offering from external billboards in the international and domestic terminal precincts to inside T1.

APN's group radio & outdoor chief executive Richard Herring said: "Uniting T1's advertising assets enables us to offer advertisers and agencies more comprehensive campaign packages, not just at Sydney Airport but nationally by combining Sydney Airport's offering with APN Outdoor's other airfield assets in Australia."

Adshel's chief executive officer Steve McCarthy said: "Airport advertising sales requires a focused approach on local as well as international advertisers, agencies and specialist buyers."

Out-of-home company Eye handles Sydney Airport's domestic internal advertising.
