Andy Lark resurfaces as Xero CMO

Andy Lark, the former Commonwealth Bank CMO has resurfaced as CMO of Xero.

Xero, a cloud accounting firm, has seen its subscription revenue grow 87% to reach NZ$132.3 million over the last 12 months.

Its customer base has also grown 76% 371,000  over the year with 20% of small businesses in New Zealand using the firm's services, and driving $60 billion worth of transactions. 

In Australia, Xero doubled customer numbers over the last year and increased subscription revenue by 115% over the last six months, compared with the same period a year ago.

It expects subscription revenue to grow 80% in 2015.

Xero is looking to grow its business in the UK and the US, and Lark is charged with the challenge.

It is also planning a number of additional executive appointments over the coming months.
