Amazon’s advertising business in Australia lifted net sales 61% to $392.23 million in the year to December 2025.

Data lodged with corporate regulator ASIC shows advertising services growing faster than overall net sales, which increased 25% to $4.769 billion over the same 12 months.

Amazon listed its number of employees in Australia at 4,785, up almost 30% from the previous year.

The local company listed cost of sales at $2.729 billion and net income of just $21.8 million.

Globally, Amazon advertising revenue grew 22% in the December quarter to $US21.317 billion.

For 2025, Amazon gathered $US68 billion in advertising.

Analysts at eMarketer say the ads business continues to win spending thanks to the maturation of Prime Video inventory, the appeal of Amazon’s expanded DSP and wider availability of AI-driven ad tech.
