Amazon Ads has expanded its AI-powered Video Generator to Australia, allowing advertisers to create video ads from product images or existing footage in three to five minutes.
The tool generates six video options from a product image, existing video or Amazon product detail page, with multi-scene storytelling, transitions and background music.
"Video advertising has traditionally required significant resources that put it out of reach for many small and medium-sized businesses," said Willie Pang, managing director of Amazon Ads Australia and New Zealand.
"With Video Generator, we're democratising access to sophisticated video advertising tools, empowering Australian SMBs to infuse creativity into their brands."
Research commissioned by Amazon Ads found SMB marketing leaders estimate they could save approximately 7.3 hours per week — about 45 working days annually — by using AI tools for advertising.
In the US, more than 60% of products promoted using Video Generator had never previously been advertised on Sponsored Brand video.
"Before Creative Studio's Video Generator, creating high-quality ad creatives used to take us days, sometimes even weeks," said Chao Wang, operations manager at Australian stationery brand Vignette.
"It helps us showcase our products in a much more engaging way, which has improved both our click-through rates and overall conversions."
Video Generator is available through Creative Studio in Ad Console at no additional cost for Sponsored Brands video.
