AdNews Challenge:Loud and Proud AdNews Challenge Virgins

By AdNews | 16 October 2014

Your eyes lock, your heart skips a beat, he finally approaches you and all of a sudden you believe in love at first sight. Then the first date – you painfully panic for days, try on an unbelievable amount of outfits, flood your friends’ inbox with an influx of “OMG-I-have-nothing-to-wear” text messages. Breathe. The night has come, a car pulls up the driveway. Knock-knock. Breathe. Then there he is, that familiar swooning face gets you all over again.

This pretty much sums up Team Acxiom’s jitters towards the AdNews Challenge sans the swooning hot guy in the picture (wouldn’t that make this a lot easier?). We’re excited like a little kid getting a puppy for the first time, yet so scared that the cute little thing might bite.

So how exactly is Team Acxiom preparing for the much anticipated AdNews Challenge? Besides their twice a week Pilates and HIIT Programs the Acxiom team is putting in little extra runs during lunch breaks and couple more training over the weekend, so they say.

The first ever Acxiom team is headed up by Dave Cox, Cameron Strachan, Chloe Fisher, and Natalya Pollard, none of which wanted to share intimate details of their very first date (sigh!).

Dave Cox, account director, will be leading the running leg. If you live around Pyrmont, you may have seen him doing a couple of k’s around the area in between sandwich runs – healthy sandwich that is.

Natalya, better known as the Year 6 swimming champion and account executive, is on her way to add AdNews Challenge swimming champion under her belt.

Cameron “Cam” Strachan (fitspo photo below), sales support manager and soon to be Acxiom’s official Adonis, will be heading the kayak leg.

Chloe Fisher, account executive and the smallest… rather cutest in the team is set to whip The Warrior Workout’s behind. Frequenting the gym more than twice a day in the lead up to the AdNews Challenge in the hopes of the log to be carried around won’t be any bigger than her.

It may very well be our first time and as nerve wracking as it is not knowing what to expect, we’re ready for it! Just like how we managed our first dates just fine and with that in mind, we’re confident a second date is on the books.
