The Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) is now accepting entries for the 2025 Best Use of Australian Music in an Advertisement Award which recognises the effective use of local music.

ARIA has also partnered with DISCO to provide a curated playlist featuring sync-ready tracks from member labels and distributors to further support agencies and promote the discovery of Australian music.

Agencies entering the award will receive login credentials to access the catalogue, which includes search tools sorted by mood, energy, genre and campaign fit, as well as contact details for rightsholders and sync representatives to streamline the licensing process.

The 2025 Award also introduces a new, tiered entry fee structure to ensure equitable access for agencies of all sizes: $500 for small agencies (fewer than 10 staff), $1,500 for medium agencies (fewer than 50), and $2,000 for large agencies (51 or more).

Entries are open from July 28 until August 18. The eligibility period covers August 24, 2024 to August 22, 2025.

ARIA CEO Annabelle Herd said this award has become a celebration of how Australian music can elevate creative campaigns.

“With the new DISCO partnership and an equitable entry structure, we’re excited to help more creative teams discover outstanding local music and bring their visions to life,” she said.

“We can't wait to see this year’s inspired collaborations.”
