Adelaide creative super stars Johnny Velis and Becq Hinton have started their own creative agency called Super-Duper Creative.

Velis and Hinton have successfully worked together on countless campaigns across local, national and international brands at leading creative agencies including The Rowdy Group, Jamshop, Clemenger BBDO and Y&R.

Velis said: “We’ve been blessed to have worked for some big agencies in the past, but we’ve noticed a shift towards smaller and more nimble alternatives for clients, so it was a strategic decision to make the move and start our own agency now.

“Clients will find our approach refreshingly different – we’re not only super responsive, but our creativity is free from traditional constraints and unburdened by unnecessary layers, so you only get the cream of the crop.”

Forming a successful working relationship since 2008, the duo has big plans for the future.

Hinton: “We’re super excited to be in charge of our own destiny and for the opportunities that lie ahead.

“Whilst we may be based in Adelaide, we’ve both worked on multiple national brands in the past and plan to continue doing so. These days, great ideas no longer have borders.”

Having previously held positions as Creative Director (Velis) and Head of Art (Hinton), they’re well equipped and experienced to service any calibre of client. Their extensive list of past brands includes Mitsubishi Motors, where they were successful in making the ASX the number one selling SUV, SAPOL (including a string of highly awarded road safety campaigns), BankSA, National Pharmacies, San Remo, Jacob’s Creek and Natural Gas to name a few.

Velis said: “Our best work, as it happens, comes from clients who trust our creative product, so establishing strong, honest relationships is something we not only aspire to, but actively try and live up to every day.”
