Corporate trade and barter firm Active International has promoted Sinead Melloy to the newly created role of senior client partner.

Melloy was previously Active International's media account manager, leading the company's agency relationships for five years. Before joining Active, she held roles at Publicis Groupe in Australia and the UK.

In the new role, Melloy will work directly with clients and agency partners to help them get more from Active's trading model.

General manager David Roddick said Melloy combined an understanding of Active's model with the creativity, curiosity and openness the role required.

"It can sometimes be challenging for clients and agencies to remain fully up to speed with the broad and ever evolving offering and Sinead will be charged with helping clients unlock its full potential," Roddick said.

Melloy said the role would focus on ensuring clients could fully leverage what Active offers.

"Every day I see brands who are utilising our unique approach to corporate trade and barter but also I recognise the challenges that many of them face in fully utilising the various opportunities that arise," she said.

"This new role will be about partnering closely with our clients to ensure they are getting the best opportunities and are able to fully leverage everything Active can do for them."

Active International said it had recorded double-digit growth over the past two years, as more marketers turned to corporate trade as part of their marketing strategy.
