Are Media has appointed Bruce Levine director of technology and product, tasked with leading the publisher's technology strategy.

His remit will focus on creating a more agile and scalable publishing framework that enhances audience experiences, continues to strengthen data and personalisation capabilities, and enables faster innovation across the business.

Levine will report to Sally Eagle as part of the executive leadership team.

He joins Are Media from Australian Community Media (ACM), where he served as chief technology officer, leading large-scale digital transformation initiatives across some of Australia's most recognised community publishing brands.

Prior to ACM, he held senior technology leadership roles at Fairfax Media and AGL (Formerly APG).

Sally Eagle, CEO at Are Media, said the appointment reflects the company's ambition to continue investing in technology.

"Are Media has some of the country's most trusted and influential lifestyle content brands, and we're focused on ensuring we have the capabilities to deliver those experiences wherever and however audiences choose to engage with us,” said Eagle.

“Bruce brings an exceptional combination of technical expertise and media experience, and his leadership will be instrumental as we continue to evolve and optimise our digital Ecosystem."

Levine said he was excited by the opportunity.

"Are Media occupies a unique position in the Australian market, with an extraordinary portfolio of brands that have deep relationships with Australian women built over Decades,” he said.

“The opportunity is to ensure the technology framework that supports audience consumption allows us to move faster, innovate more effectively and create richer experiences for consumers and partners alike."
