Accenture Song ANZ has expanded Fabio Buresti’s role to include managing director of customer strategy, alongside his existing leadership of design and digital products.
The expanded remit sees Buresti take on strategic oversight across Accenture Song and Droga5 ANZ, covering brand, design and digital product strategy.
He will lead an integrated strategy function focused on aligning creative and technology capabilities with client growth agendas.
Buresti’s new role brings together previously distinct functions across design, digital innovation, and brand strategy under a single leadership structure.
The move is aimed at streamlining delivery and creating more cohesive, purpose-led brand experiences across the business.
“Our opportunity is turning what brands stand for into what they’re known for. Not just in campaigns, but in real experiences people can see, touch and use,” Buresti said.
Buresti will also oversee efforts to embed advanced AI capabilities across the business, with a view to positioning Droga5 ANZ as one of the most AI-enabled creative agencies in the region.
His focus will include integrating creativity, data and design more deeply into Droga5 ANZ’s operations, with an emphasis on work that is both effective and enduring.
“I’m excited to bring strategy, design and technology together, so purpose becomes a commercial lever that drives growth and moves people,” he said.
Buresti has spent more than 20 years working across brand and customer strategy and has been central to Accenture Song’s design-led approach in the local market.
He previously played a key role in the strategic direction of The Monkeys prior to its rebrand as Droga5 ANZ.
“Fabio was instrumental to the sharp strategic offering that made The Monkeys, now Droga5 ANZ, so potent over the past 18 years and shaped so many iconic creative moments,” CEO of Droga5 ANZ and marketing practice lead at Accenture Song ANZ, Matt Michael, said.
“It is why it is so exciting to have him in this role to provide an elevated view on strategy for both Song and Droga5 ANZ.”
