Two of Australia’s peak advertising industry bodies are merging to form the Marketing Association of Australia.

The body will unite the Australian Association of National Advertisers (AANA) and the Association for Data-Driven Marketing and Advertising (ADMA).

Announced today at RESET 2026 conference, Josh Faulks, CEO at AANA, said the reformed association would build a stronger, more connected and more influential organisation for the marketing industry of Australia.

"This is not the end of AANA or ADMA,” said Faulks.

“It is the evolution of two proud organisations into something even stronger, built to meet the moment our industry is in.

"This is much more than a new name. It is about delivering greater value for members: a stronger community, world-class capability building, and a more influential and powerful voice on the policy and regulatory issues shaping our industry."

The Marketing Association of Australia is being led by Faulks.

The new organisation represents a broad cross-section of the industry, including brand marketers, agencies, media owners, platforms, publishers and businesses operating in data, technology and customer experience.
