2XU hires Luke O'Shea as CMO

Sports apparel brand 2XU has appointed Luke O’Shea as chief marketing officer to manage its global marketing, brand and product strategy along with creative design.

As part of the role O'Shea will relocate to Melbourne from Hong Kong. He joins from cycling brand Rapha Racing, where he held the role of commercial director and head of marketing and sales across APAC.

Prior to that, he headed up brand, digital and media globally at MORE Than Sport and has also been a senior marketer for Fox Sports, Icebreaker and ASICS in Australia. 

"The opportunity to drive the global brand, product marketing strategy and contribute to the overall business performance along with other key executives for an Australian born premium sports apparel brand is truly exciting," O'Shea told AdNews.

"2XU has set the standard for technical compression wear over many years and being both an avid fan of the product. and keen sportsperson it’s a brand I have followed since its inception."
