Woolies is going to the movies this weekend, with a campaign turning the tables in order to put movie-goers on screen.

Created by Leo Burnett and executed through a partnership with Val Morgans, the “Make it Famous” campaign will see visitors to Hoyts Warringah Mall questioned about what they are “famous for at Christmas”.

Moments later the cinema-goers will find themselves on screen as part of a Woolworths campaign. The campaign is set to be leveraged online using the hashtag #MakeYourChristmasFamous.

Clare Whiteman, Val Morgan strategy manager, said: “Cinema is one of the last places where families have a shared experience. Woolworths has taken the opportunity to talk to their consumers when they are enjoying Christmas time together at the cinema.”

The media for the campaign is Carat and the activation concept was developed and implemented by Val Morgan's strategic division, Brandfit.
