The city of Wellington is eyeing off Aussie businesses, giving five the chance to win a trip across the ditch.

The 'Wellington Adds Up' campaign is designed to highlight the region's “compelling business case” as the city looks to boost growth in its talent and business attraction. The work is a collaboration between Positively Wellington Tourism and Grow Wellington, two of the organisations being combined into the new Wellington Regional Economic Agency.

As part of the campaign, five businesses can win a tour of Wellington and meet with business and industry leaders, as well as getting a taste of the region's culinary cultural and outdoor lifestyle.

In addition, the campaign will be promoted at technology business expo CeBIT at Sydney Olympic Park this week.

Grow Wellington CEO Gerard Quinn said: “Wellington has the most highly educated workforce in the country and we're one of the most affordable cities to live in Australasia.

“New Zealand’s economy is strong, and we have significantly lower taxes and operating costs relative to Australia. Add to that Wellington's affordability and exceptional performance in quality of life surveys and it makes for a solid case.”

The campaign follows a talent attraction campaign targeting Australian digital professionals called Wellington Works.
