As the countdown to the Repco Bathurst 1000 begins, Supercars have launched a campaign and TVC to commemorate the legacy event fuelled by history in its 60th year.

The integrated campaign, led by creative agency WILDCARD, speaks to unforgettable moments, drivers, and experiences that are unique to the Bathurst narrative. Whilst the characters may change, the legacy and the triumphs live on

The new TVC, radio & OOH assets are an extension of the Supercars brand campaign – Unforgettable – launched by Wildcard at the start of the 2023 season.

With a nostalgic look and feel, the Bathurst TVC follows the final lap of Mount Panorama, highlighting its most iconic winners as if they were racing each other. The ending is left open for the 2023 winner to write the 60th page in the Bathurst story.

The TVC is supported by an OOH and social campaign that showcases different pages of the Bathurst story in a vertical design with classic imagery.

Supercars head of marketing Brenda Younes said the Repco Bathurst 1000 has been the pinnacle of Australian motorsport since 1963 and is acknowledged domestically and abroad as the peak of touring car racing.

“As the spiritual home of Supercars, we sought to evoke the powerful feelings and memories associated with Mount Panorama and the greatest drivers to take on the track," she said.

"The past is steeped in motorsport royalty, but the anticipation of who will be the next King of the Mountain keeps fans coming back.

"WILDCARD have once again delivered in honouring the nostalgia of the race, whilst bringing it into the New Era of Supercars for generations to come.”

WILDCARD creative director Tom Meredith said the agency wanted to draw on the history of the race as it reached a monumental milestone while communicating to fans, and drivers, that the future is still there to be written.

“Bathurst has been full of Unforgettable moments from the past 60 years. Whether it’s Brock, Johnson, Lowndes or Skaife, they’ve all written their page in the story of Bathurst, but there are plenty of empty pages waiting to be written," said Meredith.

The 60th Repco Bathurst 1000 will return to Mount Panorama on October 5th – 8th.
