2021 sees the return of Regional Flavours to Southbank, Brisbane - a food festival with a difference as it will, to be held over a series of events throughout the year.

After a year of cancelled events, social distancing and travel restrictions, Regional Flavours needed to reinvent their festival platform to cater to the changing times.

Paper Stone Scissors partnered with City Parklands Brisbane to inject a new look and feel to the 10 year old festival.

The project spanned across the naming of each of the programs, the identity for the 2021 festival and a series of imagery and content required for the promotion of each themed event.

"During a year that had us working from home and all events cancelled, we were thrilled to be working with Regional Flavours to evolve the brand to a post-COVID world," Paper Stone Scissors creative director Andrew Majzner says.

"Everyone's connections to food and local produce was made stronger in 2020 and being able to celebrate this was a joy."

Regional Flavours invited us to re-ignite our connection to land and community through our love of food.

Our approach was inspired by Australian travel posters and fruit and vegetable seed packets, as a nod to nostalgia and familiarity making the produce the hero, in its simplest and most beautiful form.

Paper Stone Scissors worked on this project end to end, fallowing a complete overhaul of this much loved and anticipated event.
