Unless that thing involves discount electricity.

Origin Energy's latest retail campaign shows the ridiculousness of people doing things by halves, to celebrate its new half off deal.

The campaign, by Whybin/TBWA, showcases a series of characters including a half-bearded man, a man with a half ironed shirt, a woman with half straightened hair and a dad to turns the footy off half-way through, much to the confusion of his son.

It aims to highlight a new offer from Origin which gives customers in Victoria, New South Wales and South Australia who switch their natural gas and electricity to Origin between 21 July until 31 August, half off their power usage and supply charges for three months.

Origin GM sales and marketing Rebekah O'Flaherty said: "We are committed to consistently presenting Australian homes and businesses with simple but compelling energy offerings. This is just another step on our journey to better serve our customers and adds to our previous actions around extending call centre hours to Saturdays, and getting rid of exit fees on all our residential energy plans.”

The campaign launched on Tuesday and will roll out across TV, print, outdoor and digital.
