Australia's golden girl reminds mothers of self-care and to appreciate little moments.

Massage pain relief cream brand Fisiocrem has launched a new campaign featuring Australian Olympic swimmer Libby Trickett.

Featuring the former three time Olympian-turned-mother and her two children Popp and Edwina, the 30-second ad slot gives a glimpse into a day in the life of the Trickett household.

Targeting busy mums, the campaign ran for three weeks across Network Ten’s peak periods during its highest rated programs including The Bachelor and The Project. The advertisement also featured on tenplay - Network Ten’s digital platform.

The campaign was the brainchild of two Gold Coast agencies, Tailored Media and Bordertown Films.

Tailored Media CEO Brendon Sinclair says signing Libby as an ambassador for Fisiocrem was an easy decision to make for his client.

“She’s real with a raw approach to life and all things motherhood, and her instagram -- which is filled with photos of poo-explosions and makeup-less selfies - certainly confirms that," says Sinclair.

“She was a clear standout and the response we’ve received to advertisement has reaffirmed that real people are the rubies among the roughs even in this day in age of ‘Instagram models’ and heavily photo-shopped images."

The Olympian’s genuine excitement and gratitude at seeing her love of her children depicted in the TV execution saw the Australian sensation cry tears of joy at the launch of the commercial, where she was shown the advertisement for the first time.

“The ad represents a small blip of time in our busy lives and it was just so special to share that moment with the girls,” says Trickett.

“I hope it’s a reminder to all mums out there to absorb the special little moments in each day, and that self-care, even in the smallest form, is a key to your own sanity.”

The campaign is executed primaily on TV, followed by in-store and out of home posters.
