Australian-owned.
To mark its 80th anniversary, Boral, the Australian-owned and largest construction materials supplier in the country, is celebrating the impact its had on the lives of Australians in a campaign via 3rdspace.
With a workforce of more than 7,500 employees and contractors, Boral has been part of building Australia, supplying materials for projects including Parliament House, the Sydney Harbour Bridge, the Hume Highway, Snowy Hydro, and the Sydney Metro.
"To capture 80 years of history is no small feat, but the 3rdspace team created magic,” said Boral head of brand, communications and marketing, Ben Wyld.
“We are incredibly proud of this campaign; it celebrates our past and future in a way that feels genuine and new, humanising what Boral has done for generations of Australians in shaping the built environment. At life's milestone moments, our solutions and products are all around."
The film turns the spotlight on the audience: everyday Australians whose lives are improved by the hospitals, roads, new homes, and infrastructure that Boral helps to create.
It was directed and edited by Rhys Day, with Jack Saltmira as DOP. The score was composed by Luna Pan, known for her work on feature films and the official soundtrack for the 2025 New Year's Eve fireworks.
"You're probably standing on something by Boral without even knowing it,” said 3rdspace ECD Rickie Marsden.
“Eighty years is a huge achievement, the challenge we had as a team was to connect to the emotion of that. The answer was simple, film the life that happens on top of it. It takes confidence for a company as big as Boral to speak that softly, and we have Ben and the team to thank for allowing us to do just that."
