Origin rolls out weather-contextual messaging campaign to get people hooked into solar.

Origin Energy and Mindshare have tapped Inlink to run a weather-sensitive campaign which is estimated to reach up to 800,000 office workers. 

The ads will appear alongside a four-day forecast, with the messaging to change according to the weather.

For example, on a sunny day in each of the cities, a message will say “Today is perfect for Solar. Don’t waste your roof. Make energy fresh daily”.

They will appear on 1200 screens in major city CBDs throughout Australia, urging punters to take up solar panel installations from Origin.

The messaging is part of a broader campaign from Origin Energy, which it first unveiled through a campaign delivered by Clemenger BBDO.

Inlink’s SmartAds technology allows clients to alter their messaging to show real-time data, creating much higher degrees of relevancy and therefore the capability to influence people’s impulse decision-making.
