RSVP has taken a pop at dating app Tinder in its new campaign, 'Pull Your Finger Out'.

Created by MercerBell, the campaign urges singles to forget swiping to say 'yes' or 'no' to a potential date – and get on the RSVP mobile app instead. It's aimed at 20-something daters.

Melanie Dudgeon, marketing director at RSVP, said: “These daters are looking for fun. But they also want attraction that's more than skin deep, attraction that's based on more than a photo and a split-second 'hot or not' decision. And that's where the mobile app from RSVP can help.”

'Pull Your Finger Out' will run online and on TV.

A separate execution, ‘Kiss Someone Every Day’, is scheduled to run on national TV and shows people taking selfies on their mobile phones while blowing kisses.

MercerBell ECD David Bell said: “These executions capture a little bit of zeitgeist in order to convince people that you can have the best of both worlds when you date through RSVP.”

The work coincides with RSVP’s revamped mobile app, which launched last month.
