Qantas is the leading Australian airline. It started in Queensland in 1920 originally called the Queensland and Northern Territory Aerial Services Limited ad later renamed Qantas. The sbuie4nss also operates the budget airline Jetstar which launched in 2003 to offer passengers greater choice. Its frequent flier loyalty programme counts almost 10 million members.
