Robotic vacuum cleaner brand Robomaid has appointed Wunderman to its creative account as it looks to challenge competing brands including Roomba.
The WPP-owned agency was hired without a pitch and will work on integrated marketing activities including data and analytics. There was no incumbent on the account and Wunderman becomes the Australian brand's first retained agency.
Robomaid is one of a handful of brands in a burgeoning sector which includes the well-known Roomba, and offerings from electronics brands such as Samsung and LG.
Robomaid sales and marketing manager, Emma Hodge, said: “We're very pleased with the Wunderman offer for Robomaid as we continue to expand our business. Our engagement with them so far has been impressive and their ability to cater to a fast-moving industry is perfect for our needs.”
Wunderman managing director, Jo Lloyd, said: “We're delighted to partner with such an innovative, results-driven brand. Robomaid has built a very successful business model and our belief is that it will soon move from a challenger brand to a leader brand, leveraging smarter analytical marketing to achieve it.”
