EXCLUSIVE: The White Agency has promoted Mike Barry to head its creative department following the departure of executive creative director Darwin Tomlinson.
Barry was elevated to creative director from associate creative director. A veteran of the company, he has been with the STW digital agency for more than six years. Previously, Barry worked with The Salinger Group, Net Return and XT3 in design roles.
The White Agency chief executive, Miles Joyce, told AdNews: “Mike understands our business, our clients and our vision. He knows where we want to go and it's been a seamless transition.”
Yesterday, former executive creative director Darwin Tomlinson joined DDB Sydney as integrated deputy executive creative director. He finished up at The White Agency a month ago.
Miles said the agency wished Tomlinson all the best and that the move had been planned since late last year.
The digital shop recently picked up an account from electronics brand Panasonic. Its client list includes Commonwealth Bank and Lexus.
