STW has poured cold water on speculation that Ikon Communications will merge with fellow STW-agency Bohemia in the wake of a senior management exodus from Ikon.

The industry has been buzzing with speculation over the past 24 hours after the shock exit of senior Ikon staffers Dan Johns, Ellie Rogers, Leonie Kerley and Bevan Davies.

The departures led to intense speculation that Ikon might be on the verge of a merger with Bohemia.

However, STW has said the speculation has “no basis whatsoever”.

Bohemia founder and managing partner Brett Dawwson said: “Bohemia is majority independently owned, has a very clear and unique growth strategy and will continue to focus on this by delivering superior results for Bohemia’s clients.

“Bohemia is proud of our relationship with STW. We foster healthy relationships with any agency we share a client with, STW owned or not with client results first always. Ikon is a great agency and I wish them all the best in the restructure.”
